Go out there and hit somebody
Posted by Heath on January 11th, 2009 @ 7:29 pm, filed in Heath, The HeathernetHey, let’s pack some updates in, shall we?
I got the seasonal termination from Target so as of this Friday I’m back to just scraping by with the money I’ve saved. Worse yet, I still live on without a viable health insurance option and my last physical at a doctor’s office coming up on a slightly frightening ten years. Hey, I found a bright side, now that I don’t have to either be at Target (or recovering from being at Target) I’ll kick the blog back up a notch. (Hopefully.) I’ve had some quick hit thoughts I’ve really wanted to get out there.
Ever wanted to completely suit up in football gear and go out and level somebody? I know I have. Or better yet, lay a fair ball into right field for an RBI single? Man, I’ve only gotten to do that in slow pitch softball and I still find that a rush. I think people who have enough of a handle on their body control (and let’s face it, self-esteem, too) while they are growing up to play sports are a lucky bunch. Now that I’m comfortable with who I am and marginal hand-eye coordination this is the time I want to go out there and learn how to make a tackle or field a grounder.
The Heathernet may or may not have had a friendly visit from the Tom Shillue. You never know what’s what with this internet thing but I believe google to be a powerful tool and Tom to be a friendly guy. Check out his probable visit in the comments of this post.
Finally, I really hope to get some creative writing produced. Look for creative writing posts to be made weekly at (or by) 8PM Fridays. That way it’s a little something to read over the weekend or something to do first thing at work on Monday. At least that’s what my ego tells me you’ll do.
